Defense Point Security is currently seeking a Vulnerability Tool Engineer in Reston, VA.

Vulnerability Tool Engineer Job Responsibilities:
You will provide operational support to vulnerability management tools at multiple Federal Agencies.

  • Deploy, operate and maintain enterprise vulnerability tools such as BeyondTrust Retina, Tenable Security Center/Nessus, McAfee MVM, Tripwire IP360
  • Accomplish extract, transform, and load operations to retrieve enrichment content from existing hardware, software, and system boundary inventories
  • Operate, maintain and suggest an improvement to existing vulnerability tools deployed at Federal Agencies
  • Work across technical teams to support existing vulnerability management solutions at Federal Agencies
  • Provide vulnerability management tool support to operations analysts and Tier II support teams

Vulnerability Tool Engineer Job Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen and capable of attaining DHS Suitability and Public Trust 6C
    Clearance or above
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience deploying, operating and maintaining enterprise vulnerability management tools such as BeyondTrust Retina, Tenable Security Center/Nessus, McAfee MVM, Tripwire IP360
  • Experience deploying and configuring software in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems to include group policy object, configuration management, and Active Directory administration.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux) as an administrator.
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments
  • Experience with administration of networking technologies including LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN.
  • Ability to troubleshoot wide-ranging issues that cross team boundaries (OS, hardware, software, network, storage, firewall, COTS layers, customer access/authentication).
  • Familiarity with Remedy and/or Service Now incident and change management.
  • Applicable Vendor Certified Administration certification is a plus.
