Defense Point Security is currently seeking a Sr. Security Analyst in Washington, D.C.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting the full life-cycle of security tools identified for implementation within the enterprise environment
  • Advising incident responders in the steps to take to investigate and resolve computer security incidents
  • Multi-tasking to support a variety of IT security tasks and functions
  • Staying current on IT security vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures

Job Qualifications:

  • This position requires US Citizenship due to our Federal contractual obligations
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 years experience working as a security analyst/engineer
  • Working with various SOC technologies and tools: ArcSight, ProofPoint, FireEye, Akamai, Qualys, Sharepoint, Ticketing systems (Archer, Teamtrack, ITSM), Encase v7, WebSense, AV, IDS, firewalls, active directory, web proxies, Fidelis Resolution 1, EnCase, Wireshark, Volatility and/or vulnerability assessment tools in enterprise network environments
  • Familiar with incident response and analysis process
  • Familiar with scripting and rules creation
  • Leading and/or managing personnel
  • Working in a large government or corporate enterprise environment
