Defense Point Security is currently seeking a Security Engineer in Bethesda, MD.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Risk Assessment of enterprise grade software
  • Perform Risk Assessment of system designs
  • Draft, contribute to, and review SDLC artifacts
  • Security system design and deployment
  • Security content creation
  • Verify System/ Security waivers
  • Market research
  • Draft and present reports to varied audiences, to include executive or technical

Job Requirements:

  • This position requires US Citizenship due to our Federal contractual obligation
  • 2-4 years Cyber Security experience
  • 2 years Network related experience
  • Strong understanding of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture
  • Strong knowledge of ports and protocols
  • Moderate networking knowledge
  • Moderate Linux administration knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Security Monitoring experience
  • Data Center architecture knowledge
  • Network architecture knowledge
  • Understanding of PKI, digital certificates, and local Certificate Authorities
  • Scripting experience / ability to write average scripts
  • Industry Cyber certification
