Defense Point Security is currently seeking a Sr ISSO/Deputy Program Manager in Washington D.C.

Sr. ISSO / DPM Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall operational success of his or her assigned program.
  • Build cybersecurity into the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Develop processes and procedures that allow ISSO to be engage in all cybersecurity requirements in the: initiation, development/ acquisition, operation and maintenance, and disposal of systems/application.
  • Develop an impact assessment process and the impact assessment shall be used throughout OEI Projects system lifecycle and used in for the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Provide customer support in solving all phases of complex information security related technical problems.
  • Review and recommend information security solutions based on an understanding of products/systems test results.
  • Mapping out and defining the list of dependent tasks that need to be completed to reach the overall goal, mission, objective, etc.
  • Responsible for facilitating an achievable plan to minimize risk while meeting schedule and budget objectives.
  • Updating and maintaining project metrics to track schedules, budgets, productivity, defects, quality, and risk.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Providing appropriate updates to his/her Director re: progress of tasks and opportunities and providing input to the Director for monthly management reviews.
  • Managing and updating project forecasts to ensure accurate plans are set up in Unanet.
  • Approving employee Time, Expenses, and Paid Time Off requests in Unanet.
  • Managing employee's day-to-day tasks and schedules.
  • Developing employees by supporting Goal setting, conducting annual evaluations and making recommendations for bonuses or awards for exceptional performance.
  • Making recommendations for employee performance improvement when needed.
  • Involved in the interview process to fill open roles.

Sr. ISSO / DPM Qualifications:

  • This position requires US Citizenship due to our Federal contractual obligation.
  • Master's Degree
  • 10 years of IT experience
  • 5 years of Cybersecurity experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Baseline Compliance of federal IT systems
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) for systems and applications
  • Secure Configuration and Monitoring
  • FISMA metrics and reporting
  • Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) management and reporting
  • 5 years of management experience relevant to the job description
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • One or more Cybersecurity/Information Security certification(s)
  • This person must be able to demonstrate the proper knowledge and leadership skill to support the role.
