Defense Point Security is currently seeking an RMF Team Lead in Greenbelt, MD

You will be the senior manager for the RMF Team supporting the Security Authorization/C&A process for solutions developed within the customer's environment. You will produce and maintain appropriate documentation and represent applications at security meetings for approval and interface with Solution teams to make sure security issues are accurately documented and assist assessors with validation of security controls.

RMF Lead Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and oversee relationships for program identified systems & components pursuing authorizations (ATOs) and security assessments ensuring compliance with agency's requirements
  • Perform as a recognized authority in managing large scale complex authorization & compliance activities across the program and advise staff members to resolve gridlocks to meet customer objectives
  • Actively coordinate with the cross-organizational teams to plan, develop, implement and test requirements that meet Federal regulations, program objectives and operational needs required for the program operations
  • Support the integration of security assessments across the lifecycle of systems from test to production to support operational needs
  • Analyze and define security requirements for information protection. Analyze Decennial change requests for security impacts and provide recommendations to the GPMO
  • Execute with limited direction, anticipating customer needs and proactively supporting those needs
  • Assist in establishing and implementing a Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) capability with integrated controls and guidelines for the program
  • Assist in establishing a continuous monitoring strategy to proactively survey, monitor, and track defects and the status of their resolutions to report to the GPMO
  • Mapping out and defining the list of dependent tasks that need to be completed to reach the overall goal, mission, objective, etc.
  • Responsible for facilitating an achievable plan to minimize risk while meeting schedule and budget objectives
  • Updating and maintaining project metrics to track schedules, budgets, productivity, defects, quality, and risk
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Managing and updating project forecasts to ensure accurate plans are set up in Unanet.

RMF Lead Qualifications:

  • This position requires US Citizenship due to our Federal contractual obligation.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years of IT experience
  • 5 years of Cybersecurity experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Baseline Compliance of federal IT systems
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) for systems and applications
  • Secure Configuration and Monitoring
  • FISMA metrics and reporting
  • Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) management and reporting
  • CISSP required
  • PMP preferred
